American Intellectual Property Law
Education Foundation Gives Fifteen
Sidney B. Williams Scholarships
to Minority Law Students
A few words from grateful students...
Annora Bell
I greatly appreciate being an award recipient of the Sidney B. Williams, Jr. scholarship.
The scholarship has opened the door to a
community of invaluable intellectual property attorneys as well as made it financially
easier to finish my last year of law school.
This summer I will be studying for the Virginia Bar, and start work at Foley & Lardner
LLP this fall.
Shannon Roberts
Thank you for selecting me as a Sidney B.
Williams, Jr. scholarship recipient. Receiving the scholarship has been a highlight of
my law school experience. As a mother of
three young children, the scholarship has
significantly eased the financial burden of
law school. Furthermore, it has given me the
confidence I need to pursue a legal education after many years of absence from the
classroom. In addition, it has introduced me
to members of the legal community who are committed to my
professional development.
This summer I am working in the legal department of a biotechnology company.
David Mears
Please allow me a moment
of your time to express my
sincere gratitude for the generosity and benevolence of the
Sidney B. Williams Scholarship. As a previous recipient,
my relationship with the
American Intellectual Property
Law Education Foundation
(AIPLEF) has been one of continued support and encouragement - providing
me the needed financial and mentoring support
necessary to complete law school and pursue
intellectual property law. Creativity and ingenuity
are the building blocks of intellectual property;
similarly, the Sidney B. Williams Scholarship has
been my foundation educationally and professionally as I pursue my full potential among the
intellectual property legal community. I’ve truly
been blessed by this honor as I enter my final
year at Vermont Law School. Thank you.
